Elizabeth Price was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire. She studied at The Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art at the University of Oxford. She continued her studies at the Royal College of Art in London, where she completed her MFA, and in 1999 she received her PhD in Fine Art from the University of Leeds. The 2012 Turner Prize exhibition at Tate Britain featured her twenty-minute video installation 'The Woolworths Choir' of 1979 (which includes elements from The Choir), for which she was awarded the prize on 3 December 2012.
For ‘Places Where People Resort’, Price worked with OUTPOST, Norwich, as part of the Eastern Pavilions print portfolio.
The Eastern Pavilions print portfolio is a boxed set of 12 Limited Edition artists’ prints in an edition of 144. Each print is signed and hand-numbered by the artist.
The portfolio was collaboratively commissioned by visual arts organisations from across the East of England in 2011. Each organisation worked with an artist who has a connection to the region or the gallery programme.
For the first time, each print is available to purchase separately for £180, including UK postage and packing.
