Menopause includes essays which are the legacy of the the Reinventing, Rethinking, and Representing Menopause conference at Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH) in 2018.

This conference brought together scholars with knowledge of menopause, with unprecedeted interdisciplinary scope. The aim of the conference was to extend existing understandings of menopause through the collective convergence of experts throughout the creative and scholarly worlds, from various artistic, scientific, humanistic, anthropological, psychological, cultural and experiential perspectives.
